Will these wheels fit?
« on: 22 May 2012, 10:50 »
Hi

I'm considering getting some second hand wheels and wondered whether they're suitable for a standard mk4 2.0 GTI.

From eBay:

Q: Hi Can you let me know the offset / et figure on these...it should be on the inside of the rim.
A: hi there, the alloy wheels are Speedline TJX16H2 ET31

They are 5 x 100, so with that offset etc will they fit?

Yes the offset is a little low but they should be fine.

Thank you.

What is the affect of using them with low offset?

They will be a lot closer to the arch, factory offset is 37 to 42.

Right, so a risk of rubbing.

Hmm, not sure whether to buy them now.

They should be ok but until you try them you will not really know.
