Conlog alarm fob is annoying me now!
« on: 15 May 2012, 22:46 »
I have a Conlog alarm in my Anni and for over a year now the remote has stopped working, it's how I used to start the car as it bypassed the immobiliser. Now I have to put the fob into this slot:

This is very tiresome and annoying. I have changed the batteries to no avail.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can either sort out a new fob or how to stop needing to use the fob to bypass the immobiliser through the above picture?

Thanking you.

If you could remember that would be really helpful, it's such a pain in the ass. Stretching over passengers to turn the bloody car on.

Could you not redirect that little port thing to under the steering wheel if you can't sort it? Bit less of a pain every time then

The alarm is easy to remove, just find trace where is hacked into you mk3 loom and remove and re-solder.

30 mins work.

Chuffed as nuts right now. Bought some GP4/393 batteries from Grandabatteries, you can find them here:

I had originally bought the same 393s from Maplins that didn't work. Found these via some proper forum searching and took a gamble. Put them in and the remote came to life! Red light on when pressed and checked with the car, and it locks and unlocks like it used too!

Get the f**k in.

Now just gonna wait for the alarm to go off randomly...

Both mate. At least mine did. When locking with the remote it activates the alarm. If it does work you can check the alarm by holding down the button.

My next mission is to get a new remote case as mine is knackered.
