« on: 09 May 2012, 21:25 »
ok so 1.8t engine, of course it has a smic.
so would this work as well as any fmic on ebay or else were?

or best just to get a proper fmic?

dont want any think lary but also want decent cooling, looks to have quite a large surface area, but of course plastic caps.

Buy cheap; buy twice

THS or Forge is what you want as they are designed for the car

thanks love, that would be great

well stricly speaking id say buy cheap buy twice but there are many things that are cheap and have good if not the same quality,

i was just thinking of a way to have a fmic with out having the extra piping, and seens as its for the 1,8t set up thinking it may just bolt right in.

but if its no better then a smic, then ill go for something else.

thing is i dont really want one sticking out the bottom of the bumper so do i need to go bigger then normal to compinstate for the restricted airflow due to the bumper and grill?
