Headunit trouble
« on: 01 May 2012, 22:46 »
Just brought a mk4 golf 51 plate with a standard tape player, so I like my CD's and went and got a headunit from eBay, ripspeed 733b DVD thingy, it arrived fine went to install it and it turned on perfect :-) so I stripped the centre consol and started running wires for my amp etc.... When I went to plug the headunit back in nothin! I thought the loom looked a bit ropy so ordered a new one, in the mean time I went to halfords where they have a working display 733b so the bloke plugged mine in and it worked fine... New loom arrived today so of I went to plugg it I. And still nothing! Iv heard that I need to swap the res and yellow wires round to make it work, done that an still nothing! Any ideas??

Thanks in advance
Gary

Swapping red and yellow wires will not help as these are just for the radio memory. As said check the fuse Mate.
