Well as I have a 16v I can only put a special pipercross air filter on it because I've been told many times they don't work I want to drill and unrestrict it a bit, I have removed the pipe from the airbox to the exhaust  manifold hot air bad!! and fitted an Autocavan air scoop behind the main beam headlight but still have all the warm up crap and bits of flaps and piping and stuff.
I've read enough posts to do an 8 valve with my eyes shut but they look loads different to mine! I've  never seen a 16v done so anybody with a drilled airbox and a digi cam fancy giving me a 16v version???
I get a nice throaty sound about 5000rpm on but I want more it's such a good noise and with stainless 4 branch manifold and system it'll sound the mutts!! (BTW I'm not a chav lol)

Probably got lost in the "Great Crash of 08

Cheers for that info guys, its much appreciated. I binned the funnel and noticed a definite change in sound on full throttle. I was so chuffed that i wanted to drill those holes in the side of the airbox but couldnt find my dads drill! Doh! So i just removed the entire bottom half of the air box and made a bracket out of some thin steel to secure the top half, and made sure i had fully secured the filter to the top half of the air box. Oh mate! I tells thee, the roar is superb! Ha ha!! Its only a temporary fixture so the bottom half of the air box will be back in once ive got it all drilled out. Gotta love cheap mods! Once again guys, thanks for your wealth of knowledge!

Don't leave it like that too long, you dont want the filter getting to dirty. (or wet!)

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.
