R32 bumper / arch liner

hi,if you swap your normal front bumper for an R32 one do the arch liners still fit ok ? or is something else needed? and also does the cupra splitter bond or is it clipped on somehow? cheers

You'll need to extend the arch liner, you can just screw the LCR splitter on the bottom of the bumper

I seem to remember that the .:R Line bumpers came with an arch extension when bought new from VW. But I mean if you want to extend it you can probably do a DIY job easy enough I'm sure you could get some arch linnets from a scrap yard and knock something up.

i made my own arch extensions out of an old black bucket  :grin: il take some pics and put them up for you tomorrow jock  :wink:
as for the splitter i used a small drill bit pre drilled the holes and used small nuts and bolts to fix it this way if you ever want to remove it you can do it easily  :wink:

just found a thread on ukmkiv's with part numbers for extensions from vw will phone them monday see how much

its roughly 25cm long and 4cm wide at the lowest point then tapers up

i think i paid about £6 each for them from the dealer. Then i found a pair of them already in the box along with the replica R32 sideskirts i bought. And after all that i found my arch liners didnt need extending they seemed to line up fine with an oem bumper :huh:
