Ok still having Problems. Just used a different ignition amp and still te same. I even put the 3bar pressure reg bak on. Only thing next is fuel pump. Any other ideas

Drained battery and misfires?

Check your earth leads. Specifically the one from under the battery to the side of the block.

Probably not that, as you'd get a short to ground fault. But it's free and easy to do.

Yeah drained battery and now miss fires but not for first few minutes of driving but then holds bak and missfires

Ok changed all that. And still the same. Sat in car with it ticking over. Once it reached 80 on temp. It splutted revs dropped to about 500 then rose to 1400 then back to 500 and then cut out. I now I'm a pain and I very much love my golf but she is testing me to the extreme. Plz any other info. I am truly greatfull

can you restart it right away or do you have to wait for it to cool down?

It starts straight away well a few seconds of holding the key. Some times a bit of accelerator pedal

No it hasn't. Still the same. I ran out of petrol earlier. And I now it wouldn't start straight away. But it sounded as if it wasn't firing. My mate said change the crank sensor?? I now wot it is but could this b the cause of my problem
