Indicators not indicating.
« on: 16 April 2012, 17:21 »
When flicking the stalk up or down, they indicator bulb illuminates on dash and stays on.

The indicators themselves, front, side and rear, do nothing.

Would it be a fuse if they bulb on dash is coming on?   :undecided:

Sure this is an easy one for you very knowledgeable chaps!

Put your hazzards on, run around the car 4 times clockwise shouting 'flashyflashyflashy' repeatedly. Then run around once anticlockwise shouting 'yhsalf' twice.

Failing this, check the 10amp indicator fuse then check the relay.

As above worked for me, the run around the car bit - always a winner. If it doesn't work for your car (its model specific) then cover your eyes, and wish for them to work. When you uncover your eyes and try it I guarantee you they will!!

Ahh thank you for the replies, for a moment then I thought I was actually going to have to use a spanner/screwdriver..

I will wait till midday tomorrow to do this, which should provide the biggest audience, I'm sure the Golf won't want to be shown up infront of too bigger crowd.

There's probably a spare to try in the fuseboard from the Cordoba if it does it again.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Sooner than you would know, its playing up on the way home from work, and fine on the way.

The complete opposite to the driver.

I've had this same problem, turned out to be a faulty hazard relay. Simple fix!
