Replecement Fuel Lines MKII 8v k-Jet Question

I think quality ones on fuel lines is not a bad idea considering the old ones nearly caught fire rather have job spec items Nick than any old ones?

sorry for the hijack, but my fuel pipes that connect to the filter or maybe the pump (cant remember which) The ones that connect at the rear of the drivers sill, they are about 6 inch long and look like hose pipes with a couple jubilee clips 

is this the norm or has it been bodged? next time im underneath ill take a picture..
