Cheers Thomas,

Even though there are countless topics on slinging the 1.8t in a mk2 I still dont think anyone has written a guide or a list that makes full sense for idiots.

I want to make sure things work properly and not just work. So want a list of all the parts I need to do it the right way!

Oh you're THAT Dave.  Not Dave_iow

You don't want the cable clutch.  It'll be too heavy for your legs.  Go hydro - you'll need a Corrado pedal box and hydro lines.

ABF brackets all bolt up to the CDA gearbox, as do the flanges.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

cable will be fine, have driven one in mates mk1 and feels fine with the g60/vr6 set up.

All brackets have been ordered going to get mounts from eay rather then VW ones.

Im currently doing this conversion and have a spare gearbox bracket that fits either the mk3 02A or the mk4 02J if anyone needs one. ive gone down the hydro clutch route.

Also ive gone for the mk2 G60 mounts that ive been told are bonded rubber

I'd be interested in the gearbox bracket for the clutch cable
