Improving brakes on a Mk2

I NEED TO GET MY BRAKES TO WORK A LITTLE BETTER ON MY MK2 GOLF
I am getting G60 Front set up i already have braided hoses but im looking for a Set up on the rear thats better than Mk2 ones What would ppl advise Mk3 or poss do Mk 4 fit ??? Also what parts will i need??? Mk2 discs??? Thanks

G60 all round would increase it dramatically if its the standard 238mm setup. im not to sure about what you need but def the calipers and discs .

getting some good brake fluid will help...
and also using really good brake pads..... my mk 2 i got hold of the textar pads made by tmd friction http://www.textar.com/index.jsp
which make the sachs clutches! and also PAGID, MINTEX, DON, COBREQ and COSID

they gave a really good feel to the pedal and stopped good... i really liked the pads..

the rears do so little to the braking force that it wont make any difference at all. only reason people run mk3 & 4 calipers is so that the handbrake mech's dont seize

280mm G60 fronts with decent disks n pad
vr6 master cylinder
braided hoses all round

you'll stop on a 5p
