Boost Gauge Fitted and another question!

My Newsouth Boost gauge turned up today courtesy of Wazzzer, this might sound like a bit of a daft question but I'm going to ask it anyway :grin:

I've bypassed my n249 valve so I've got tubing going from the FPR straight to the top of the DV, shown in blue here (it is now red though!)



I was going to T into the tubing close to the FPR, the tubing has an ID of 3mm. The problem being that the tubing on the back of the boost gauge has an OD of 3mm. I have a 3mm T-connector, but obviously that will not connect all the tubing together.

My question - do I need to get a reducing T-connector? If so where from? Or do I connect the 2 different sizes of tubing with a reducer and use my existing T-connector?

Is the tubing with the boost gauge like a hard plastic material?

Mine was with my new south gauge I just used a small length about 5cm of 4mm vac hose onto the t piece and then the smaller tube that came with gauge into the other end of the vac hose

If you have bypassed the N249 you should also have an unused nipple on the underside of the plenum chamber, I removed my N249 and N112 is it? and I had one left over.

Right then, next question! I got the gauge installed today and tested it when stationary (I moved it from the position in the video and am waiting for some super glue to dry :lipsrsealed:)



Is that a normal reading for the car being stationary? It was revved up to around 6k rpm. Obviously I'll test it properly tomorrow, but wanted to make sure that looked ok first :undecided:

Have you watched the vid (click the picture)? It drops below 0, but when revved it only hits 5psi. I'm guessing it'll hit more when under load?
