WIDE LOOK HELP
« on: 10 April 2012, 11:36 »

I’m looking to put some wheel spacers on to get a slightly wider look, fill the arches out a tad etc etc.

What can people recommend size, make wise?

Or any other tricks to get a wider look, without new wheels or arches……I can think of none.

Thanks!

I'm not a fan of spacers they prematurely wear out your bearings and if they crack for any reasons they will come flying off wheel aswell!
Its a cheap ass way of getting wider wheel stance, but I just don't trust them even for sake of looks!
You can get a wide track system off a Mk3 little more involved but better options out there, plus I think you can use 5 stud pattern more on wheel whore choice!
TBH a good drop on coillies and phat alloys should be a better option than making them wider just for looks?

This, but I sense you're a pussy and skint.

So this isn't going to happen either, so for that reason I'm staying with my original

Spacers cracking and flying out ect...what complete rubbish!!!
Depending on the width, e.t of your rims and arch work will tell you how thick of a spacer you can use.
On a completely standard car then 20mm wouldn't be an issue, as for prematurely wearing out bearings well that's rubbish as well.
