Could be your adenoids.

I had mine out a few years back and now I sleep much better. Mine were really big and blocked my nasal passage so I only could breathe through my mouth. I had enlarged tonsils too so they took those out too and also performed a turbineectomy (sp) - essentially channeled the inside of my nose by 3cm to open up the passages a bit more.

Get it checked out, the above has helped me absoloutely loads. I now don't snore and sleep all the way through the night as well as not choking in my sleep (used to happen 3 times a week, essentially died due to my throat collapsing).
Project longterm Airbanger.

I had this also, had nose cauterised and adenoids done, 2 weeks with bungs up your nose (most horrendous pain ever getting these out) and worked for about 6 months, now back to how i was before..

I never breath through my nose, ever, and always sound like i've got a cold constantly.. Was weird for them 6 months how it changed, but back to normal (blocked) again now!

Adenoids are known to grow back Dave, go get them checked them out again. I'm hoping to fix this, would like to breather properly.

Yeah me too but not going through all that every six months! The pain was undescribable pulling the bungs out

havent read the whole thread so forgive me, but...

i get this alot, i always sound bunged up and like i have a cold, even when i don't. Really is quite annoying... Apparently you can get your nasal passages bored out  or something along those lines.

Hmmm, I too nearly always have a blocked nostril, and struggle breathing nasally.
I always put it down to being a smoker, plus being head butted a few times can't have helped...
