Speak to Brad (kells) as he has looked into this, they are available but you run less oil which has mixed views on a turbo engine.

i wouldnt run one as said the engines contain that amount of oil for a reason, if i was going to run one ide be doing oil services every 4-5k atleast

involved its just a case of buying the new sump and replacing, ide replace the pick up pipe while you have sump off.

some mk4s (think its only 2 out of the 3 mk4 engine codes but could be wrong) have a sensor on the sump i belive?

had mine strengthened and its since been tested (numerous times) and for the people who didn't think the mod would work, it has stood up to the abuse fine

was looking to make my own sump that will be approx 1" shallow but will still have the oil level sensor and also still hold full oil as per OEM

its a WIP at the mo tho

Raising engine not possible, not in my MK3 or in the MK1 we did

yeah ide be interested into how you streingthend it?

quite tempted at getting a sump guard or buying the ones you can get with the bottom made out of steel or what ever metal it is you can get which is suposed to be harder
