It's not exactly exciting:

There was a fuel tank in it before; there's a fuel tank in it now

There were brake lines on it before; there are some brakelines on it now.

There was a gear-shifter in it before: there's a gearshifter in it now.

OK, I'll concede that the gear-shifter's a bit interesting, as it's a Golf4 cable-shift which has been diced down and mounted up in a devilishly cunning way, but that's it at the moment.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Mk4 rear calipers and Weitec's.

Front coilover and new brake line.

Mk3 petrol tank (with pro-painted hammerite straps!) and the all important Hobnobs.

Stubby master cylinder, new brake lines, DH's thumb.

At the close of tonights efforts.

Dave, please buy some:

5X100 wheels - don't care what they are, but ideally VAG OEM 15" and they should have f*cked tyres on them.
Front calipers that have the right hose input.

Thanks.

See mk3 section (grit teeth and bare it) for caliper question.

For those who wanted photos of progress, we have a great GolfGTI Forum spot the difference competition:

Have fun kids, but remember print it out first before you start circling the differences with your pen.
