No pics, but mk4 shift tower was offered up, then angle grinder came out to 'make it fit'.

Still a way off yet as have to make some bracketry up, but it sits in roughly the right place from underneath, and felt like it was in the right place from the drivers seat.

Crossmember and wishbones brought back with me to be sandblasted and hammerited.

Engine back out again

Engine bay; cleaned, rust removed and treated, painted.

It's like Jacko in reverse

Took a while but ready to house the engine now, which I have got temporary cam cover for while mine is being polished, and also a satin black inlet manifold and throttle body, from Wazzzer

How did u get on with the mk4 selector fitting? I'm debating if its worth cutting my mk2 abit to make it fit. A lot of work?

you can cut the shift tower itself up and sort it out that way, i'll find the thread for you to see..

I take it you mean gear shifter? The tower is the bit that goes in the gearbox. You can make it an easier fit by using a polo diesel / Ibiza/ lupo shifter housing.
