What is it with Audi drivers?
« on: 03 April 2012, 15:47 »
Why do Audi drivers see my Golf and then want to cut me up? I did not have this in my last car. I just drove 200 miles to Dorset and had three Audi's driving very dangerously!  I'd not mind but their Audi's were low spec so did not have the power anyway! So I let them past and then cruise past when there was an appropriate bit of road!

It's Mercs that I have problems with. They toodle along at 45mph then accelerate hard to stop me getting past  Luckly the GTD seems to be quicker than a C220. Though I make sure the DSG and ACC are in sport first

A C250 is a definite no-no. They are just as fast a GTD. I was following one and we both over took another car. There was nothing in it.

Obviously all of this was done without exceeding 60mph.

Dorset you say Cliff, what part?

Anyways I find the exact opposite, regardless of the make of car people tend to see the VW badge or twins/grille badge and not get close...whether I'm in front or behind them, obviously your still get the boy racers every now and then but I tend to just  that them...

I get the same issues with vw drivers  when in the seat Leon. Its their insecurity that's the problem.

Doing 60 miles a day on the motorway I've noticed over recent years that Audi drivers have taken over from BMW drivers as the biggest tos**** on the road. They're all permanently stuck to someone's back bumper in the outside lane or permanently doing a gazillion miles per hour.

The worst ones seem to be the ones with the LED front running lights - I assume because they're the more up spec, faster ones?

This is what I don't understand with people who have these top spec cars, why wud you intensional cut people up, try and drive in there boot ect ect...I mean you know you've got a high spec'd car the people around know you got a high spec'd car so what's the point in trying to prove it...

Totally agree with Snoopy.....it screams insecurity!

I think its mostly just company car drivers as it isn't their fuel they are burning or car if they have a crash.

I had a 2001 S3 when Audis were deeply uncool...now you must have a brace of S-Lines parked on the driveway to be part of suburbias 'Best Dressed Driveway' competition, and must drive like a bell-end...so for this reason, I will never something with 4 rings on the grille until the plebs/lemmings start buying something else.

I may even consider a 3 Series BMW next...they seem uncool with Johnny Knobhead and his mates....at long last.

To be honest...current Aldis look a little 'Sale rack in Ratners window' to me, with all their chintzy bling. Yeuch...not for me.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

Astra VXR drivers are w*****s all day long!!

Am I the only one that think Audis look hot? The current S3 looks dated but apart from that, I like the look Audi have got going on. Passed an R8 lastnight......... offfft!

Agreed, the c*cks have moved from BMW's to Audi's and I have the same problem on the M1 everyday with Audi, low-spec Merc's and Seat drivers
