Your supposed to let it sit for 4 hours before filling with oil and it helps to put a bit of silicone sealer on the crank cover.

Hmmm ok may have to try that although I didn't think you had to remove the oil as it o lu comes into contact with it when the crankshaft is spinning as when I removed the seal no oil eacaped

That's odd I had a leaflet with mine which said to leave it dry for 4 hours, you might be right just install and fill then drive.

It is running! - albeit with a slight leak  :tongue: (I'm assuming it's only a small leak)
I always apply a bit of silicone sealant on the cover (front and back crankshaft covers) to help seal

Well the pic on the first page was literally when I pulled up flicked it off got outside and looked underneath, so it's not tiny and don't think r tech want my oil all over their rollers  :laugh:

Finally after pain stakingly removing the timing belt 3 times and and still having a oil leak I finally got it sorted!

Found that the crank shaft oil seal hosing was worn  :huh: an wasn't dealin on the out side so had to buy a new one from tps. Got it all backtogether just now and hey presto no leak  :grin:

So think I will be ringin and booking my map with r tech tommorrow  :cool:

Will start a post and List all my performance mods later......shower time  :laugh:
