whats the best oil to use for Semi-Synthetic, 10W-40?

All same i'd say, 10-40 halfords no different from castrol or fords own 10-40. I use 0-30 longlife stuff at work we put in bmw's. pd diesel stuff must use correct oil. All oils decent now a day. Personal pref what use in car i don't pay for oil so use works stuff, as long correct grade its cool.
