N249 questions
« on: 20 March 2012, 19:04 »
Just followed the guide on it all went well except i snapped a nipple off the n112 (good ole soldering iron and araldite) its now sorted

Couple of things
1. If it was faulty would it of put me down on power .... Cause i just took it out for a spirited drive and it spins up in second with no effort what so ever (its never done that before) it does feel alot more pokey and smooth now which is good

2. I now have a different noise coming from the 007p this time theres no pinched pipe lol its alot sharper and abit louder as i can now here it with the window down which i couldnt before its more of a ttssshh than a woosh noise so if you want more noise do it do it now !

3. Im replaceing the boost pipes with a forge kit when they arrive is there anything else that would cause a boost leak while im at it ?

A faulty N249 can give power loss and boost issues

I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

Are you trying to do the bypass?
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

Why aren't you getting rid of both, If you are doing the bypass?

think this is where i went wrong..... i only bypassed the n249 but i know i still got the other solinoid connected under the tray with vacuum connected to it.
should this one be bypassed too then so the vacumms go direct from manifold??  :undecided:

edit: as the guide on here doesnt bypass it!!
