Bulkhead bung

Ripping out the old ice and next to the cabin filter on the near side under the scuttle panel there is a bung into the bulkhead.
I've miss-placed the bung. Is this a problem to leave open to the elements ? It seems pretty dry back there.

You might get condensation inside the car without it.

It had a hole in it anyway from the wires going through so it's not like it's sealed.
Looks like I'll have to buy a replacement and take the scuttle back off.
