Are you wanting to completely refurbish it?

Cylinder head stand makes things easier
Valve spring compressor
Torque wrench
All the usual sockets and extensions

I could list loads here but i am not sure how deep you want to get in to it. I'd say get some wire brush bits and clean your valves is a must, finish the faces off with emery paper in two stages leaving the face polished. Replace the cap bearings, oil stem seals, check the guides for play and replace if necessary, suction cup and grinding compound to lap the valves back in. Wire brush the ports and remove all the built up carbon/dirt.

Get a good engine blueprinting book man, well worth it and you'll learn loads.

thats the spirit! It's always worth making freinds with your local engine shop, don't go to gsf, go see some old boy in a unit somewhere trust me

www.yell.co.uk

they can get the better quality parts and have all the knowledge you need, your going to have to get it skimmed and faced anyway before you put it back on the car so take the head in in advance and ask for some tips and he'll show you on the spot if he's a sound enough guy. good luck dude, it's rather theraputic!
