Freedom of speech doesn't mean you can just say what you want with no consequences hence why we have laws in place to control what is acceptable.
He doesn't have the right to say what he said the same as no one in this country would have the right to say all gay people should die or all disabled people should die etc etc
Hopefully anyone saying anyone should die would be dealt with by the law IMO
Not sure why the American soldier keeps coming up that went on the rampage, that is not the norm and nor should it be in any country. He obviously had a mental breakdown due to gods knows what reasons.
Erm.... i'm sorry but how is it obvious he had a mental breakdown, thats a cop out, easy excuse to explain/justify what he/they did. Maybe he did have a mental breakdown, yes possible or maybe hate coupled with alcohol just consumed him.
Hate can turn a seemingly rashionable decent person into a monster and cause them to do terrible things. The reason the Amercian soldier was mentioned was because it was the most recent in a long line of crimes against the Afgan people. I can give you another example, the "so-called accidental burning of the Quran" at Bahgram.
As for free speech, yes people cannot just say what they want and they should have to take responsibility and answer for their actions but you have to ask yourself the question, where do you draw the line?
After all one man's Terrorist is another man's Freedom fighter.
