will a 2 ton trolley jack be enough keep up a mk4? and how much do mk4 1.8t actualy weigh..

20 mins or so .. just when things go wrong have quick look underneath if needs be :smiley:

Well I always leave mine on the jack but sit an axel stand just behind it just incase the jack fails, or drive it up onto a pair of ramps- that's always the winner for me

its a jack, not a support device.  :lipsrsealed:

 and unless you are jacking in the centre of the car and lifting the whole lot a 2t jack will be fine

yh ino i dont need for support.. just my standard jack is fooked.. and thought rather get trolley jack as going to be taking off alloys and bits of car soon thats why thought be a lot quicker use trolley jack.. will get axel stands if need for support  :smiley:

You can get kits from places like Screwfix, Halfords etc which come with a jack and axle stands in a nice plastic case  :smiley:  I paid about £30 for mine
