Hadnt thought about the DVLA to be honest and come to think of it that would just annoy the *carp outta me.
and yeah it would probably become a track car then and that isnt what i wanted for it

Money isnt the problem i just hate hassle and you cant throw money at the dvla and fix things so it would just annoy me.

Thanks for all your comments its given me something to think about at least.

What is the biggest engine known to fit straight in?

All i really want is something that looks pretty bog standard on the outside but an effing monster underneath. I hate all the shiny shiny head turners (personally not my taste) i want a Surprise car

Iv seen a few r32 ones but think the most difficult engine iv seen put into a mk2 was a RS2 engine but i tell you what it was a monster when it was done

Buy a Westfield, stick it in that, fun to build, awesome to drive, and someone will actually want to buy it, once you want to sell it!

Would an old mk2 with 400bhp be driveable though ?, thats an awful lot of power through the front wheels.
