Look if it's not an official VW MK2 earth strap then you may as well go and fit a Jap Wing to the back.  :laugh:

I think that's what some people think! I hope they've got oem stereo's, floor mats and spare keys cut all with vw part numbers on!

If I have the time, money and its in stock yes OEM can't beat a bit of OCDness
If I'm broke and can't be arsed and found some crap insulated strap lying on the garage floor looking sorry for itself and needs a bit of TLC strapping its on and forgotten!  :evil: advocate

Sometimes certain OEM parts are sh*t and custom parts make for a better job for the function.  OEM headlight wiring for example, sh*t.  Custom made upgraded loom = Awesome

So true my Raddo ones are far better than stock, my life is worth more than OCDness!
