Thanks guys, just got to treat some rust. Might get a twin universal back box just for looks. keep it like it for a year then either go mk3 GTi (vento front end) or mk2 shall see in a year. haha.

Looks not a bad job takes your eye of it anyway. But unless the rust has been treated or removed it will be showing through again in a matter of weeks.

Why didn't you remove the trim? Or have you plans to colour code?

Was just about to say about the trim. Even if you were colour coding you'd want to paint under it, to avoid old colour from different angles.

Are you going to blend it in?

i'm getting new trims and could't be bothered to take that bit of trim off to do the job LOL.

the car was rusting inside out. turns out the whole panel is rusted from top to bottom due to broken seal on the roof and a rusty hole under the seal, making my boot wet and my back seats. so i used unibond sealant under the seal on the roof and stuck it down. then fixed the hole at the bottom.

Well after the epic fail but major profit on those Audi canter caps decided id go for ATS cups. picked these up today £100 need tyres now.
