Had mine out under local and drove home afterwards
To expensive to put you under in London, cant believe the noises, crunches and brute force applied to get them out.
The Dentist and the Nurse were big women and bloody strong, the Nurse sat behind and held my head with added ear cushions
The dentist did some chopping with a scalpel and brutalised my mouth with her knee on my chest at at times
I felt nothing until about 3 hours after when the throbbing started, right as rain after about three days but still a bit bruised and sore around the stitches

Top ones were a doddle, lowers were really stuck in and impacted but came out intact I still have them in a jar
I think because your jaw moves under load it makes it harder to get a good purchase on the tooth.
It was a brutal experience on my lowers but I did not feel anything until after, loads of nurofen plus took care of the rest

Great stuff...just what i wanted to hear  My top one was out in 5 mins and all i felt was a bit of pressure. But lay awake the previous night worrying so but the time I got there in the morning, fully loaded with pain killers, lay in that comfy chair with a big light in your face and a lovely dental nurse leaning over me it was quite a pleasurable experience to be honest . No doubt my next visit will be like a scene out a Saw movie!!

My misses Dentists has a video screen in the light and play you the sound via head phones
She has had £12k worth of implants :lipsrsealed:

Its not that bad really, they fill your gums full of Novocaine or whatever so you don't feel it.
Mine was done in the hospital as my dentist was a pussy, it was also free.
Its an experience and you get a day or two off work

Im off to have a top one extracted in a couple of hours, had to come home early from work as it was killing me,it feels like the whole side of my face has been wacked  ,pain killers not touching it,the only thing that is easing it is a particular toothpaste, one quick brush and i get about 30mins relief then repeat, cant wait

I feel for you as there is nothing worse than toothache.

A couple of months back I had a crown fitted. Two weeks later I got a horrendous toothache which started on a Friday evening and progressively got worse. Pain killers wouldn't touch it. When I went to bed on the Saturday night I literally did not sleep a wink as the pain was unbearable. Sunday morning I called out an emergency dentist as I couldn't stand it any longer. It turned out to be an infection under the new crown therefore the dentist put me straight on a course of antibiotics. Fortunately these started to kick along with the pain killers that night. I ended up having to have a root filling through the new crown which was wasn't the cheapest experience either!  Toothache sucks!

Also anyone with a tooth infection loading up on around 2000mg of vitiamin C a day is good as it works as a natural anti biotic. Bi carbonate of soda and salt swab on the gum next to the tooth is equally amazing at dealing with the pain as it draws the infection to the surface thus relieving the pain caused by the pressure of the white blood cells that the body uses to bombard the infection.
