been there and got a very painful t-shirt
Had all 4 out at the same time under anaesthetic, took the surgeon 1.5 hours and his foot on the side of the table to remove one of them

oh.. and once you've had them removed you really won't be able to eat properly at all (soft foods only)... I looked like a hamster for two weeks and felt and looked very bruised..

Ditto. Had all four out at once and 2 were impacted and had to be smashed up to be removed!

I had a very, very swollen face! The pain was fairly bad (but nothing paracetamol + ibuprofen didn't manage to mute to an acceptable level), the most annoying thing was the inability to eat anything not soft and the continual taste of rotting blood in your mouth!

Because they had to cut my gum open to remove the impacted teeth, they also stitched the inside of my cheek to my gum (intentionally), which took months to properly get used to.

--

I normally have sedation dental work (even for the trivial stuff), but I got referred to the hospital for the wisdom teeth and it did take about 3 months from referral to removal.

+1

Although, the feeling of your bite continually adjusting over the next year is most disconcerting!

Ahh the good old wisdom tooth! I think i will need all 4 out too! I had one taken out, a few injections to the face and then a big pull whilst i looked up! Worst thing was the sound..

Been meaning to get myself booked in to get the other one taken out, then i'll need an X-ray but i have to pay for it.. £190 i think it totals too

Mine was under general anaesthetic in hospital, took about 1.5 hours in total.

But I certainly didn't pay for it, wisdom tooth removal is free under the NHS in England ...
