Universal spacers....how the hell do you line them up?

As per title, I've got some 5mm universal jobbies to prevent my wheel from hitting my coilovers. How the hell do you line them up when fitting?

If I rest them on the hub I can't get the bolts lined up, if I put them on the wheel with the bolts through then its impossible to get the bolts into the hub without one or more falling out & the spacers moving

Put 2 or 3 bolts through with spacer attached to wheel, then put a few bits of masking tape to hold it in place, remove wheel bolts then fit? Then when done, rip masking tape off..

I got 5mm tpr (taperpro) I put them on the hub, line up the holes and bolt wheel up.


I put some sh!t spacers on my mates car and had to drill the holes in places to get them to fit.

I needed bigger so got 20mm hubcentric ones now so no problems getting everything lined up.

Did you re-balance the spacer after drilling holes

All sorted now after a lot of swearing, I'll stick some proper ones on soon but I had to get some on ASAP as my tyre was rubbing on my coilies:

And swearing always helps get stuff done

Was only shavings prob less than half a gram
