1. Could he just not disconnect the breather , put it into a bottle and turn the engine over?

2. Remove the dipstick tube and syphon it out?

3. Remove the oil filter, release some oil so it's drivable, and then take it to a garage.

4. Andywash.

3 seems likes the sensible option, no?

3 does seem to be the easiest, but i need to try the bolt again as i don't want to be defeated!

Ooh ooh an Andywash option.

it's been a while.

I definitely vote Andywash, with a side order of man the f*ck up and undo it.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

As you've said, just take the filter off and ditch the oil from there. Think its almost half a litre in there alone. Put back on, job done.

If you changed the oil and overfilled it surely you must have had the sump plug off ?
Why bother f@@@ ing about with filter siphon etc just undo the plug it will have to come out eventually anyway.

Dont drive it mate overfilled it can cause badness you don't want to get fixed!
I say Jons suggestion of sucking out of dip stick hole a good option not sure how much oil is in the head but taking the oil fillter off gravity will let is bowls out over you!
