Lap top docking stations

following on from the laptop thread... been looking at universal docking stations. However after reading a few reviews I am stuggling to find a good one   

So what  you got??? and is it any good??

For work a few years ago I bought a Logitech Alto docking station/Keyboard combo.

It looked very nice and worked well for a few weeks.  Then trouble began because it has a short power lead, and its connection to the unit became loose.  In the end it wouldn't power on at all.

I rang the customer services number and got a dead line tone.  A Google search threw up another number and I got straight through to Qatar. Yes, Qatar.

Explained the issue - No quibble, they shipped me another one FOC.  Arrived in about 4 days.

That one worked fine ever since.

thats quite a nice stand!! 

Just bought a monitor though... initally feared I would have to connect screen, sound and power everytime  But the wireless keboard usn thing is very small so that stays in laptop. HDMI takes care of screen and sound. 

Problem solved.... although I must say the shortage of solution surprises me
