Ok I checked behind the rear light and everything seems ok, no rust or damp and everything looked ok and in place.

I'll check the door wiring next, is there a quick guide for the door cards ? Can't see much on them and don't wanna snap something

Cheers guys

One other thing that might be of importance is there was an aftermarket radio in the car which I removed, when I put my one in it had no power going to it, so I tried the old one which still didn't work. I took it to a car audio place who said something about a switch on the ignition? And that instead of replacing it it was easier and cheaper etc to just wire the radio to the ignition. Something along them lines.

Not sure if that's relevant, thought it might be as it wasn't getting any power. But it works fine now even with the fuse blown. Also does anyone know what size fuse is supposed to be in the slot? Cheers

I think im right in thinking that the radio and central locking share the same fuse.

So if the audio place has bodged and bipassed the fuse then this could also be a problem.

i was previously told the radio fuse was 22 ? not sure whats what really as none of them are labelled

getting on my nerves now, i dont know what they did to the radio but it works perfectly now. he said theres something on the ignition barrel that lets accessories run when the keys in with the ignition off or something and that wasnt working. not really sure what he was on about
