do you polish by hand? ive got orange peel out with a DA before. I sprayed a bumper on my first car and couldnt for the life of me get any true shine out of it. Was really flat and wet sanding and polishing didnt improve it, never attempted since!

Was gunna say i bet you spent alot on paint!

Spraying metallic paint out of a can is a nightmare! It's so hard to make sure it isnt patchy and silver is probably the worst. Top job mate!

Thats cheating lol na i asked a couple of body shops round here if they could do the rubstrip 1 said yeah and he would of plastic welded it for 150 2 said they wouldnt do it and 1 anothers method was to chuck a load of filler/fiberglass in there lol

And atleast this threads here for people when they search (yeah right) how to do it cause when i was looking i didnt find a great deal of info on it

Nothing beats a good old bit of DIY mate! :afro: I tried spraying a few bits, but just couldn't quite master the right technique for the lacquer! :undecided: I know you're meant to slowly build up layers of it, but I could never seem to get it 'even' or when I did, it was a little too much n ran the risk of sagging! Lastly, the colour that Halfrauds made up for me, is slightly darker than the paintwork!

You have done an awesome job on that bumper, n I would be chuffed knowing it came from a rattle can!
