Hello all,
Now I know there's a million and one tutorials on how to do this across the internet but i'm just checking here first.
I have a late 2008 VW Golf Mark V and it has the standard mp3 radio. I want to upgrade the entire head unit to the RNS510, there are many different models available but as I understand it the F is the latest version. Will the latest version fit and operate into my Golf? Isit a simple case of unplugging my old radio and connecting the same cables into the back of the new one? I'm assuming the sat nav must require additional cabling and some sort of GPS box to work and same for the phone integration?
I really want to have my headunit act as Sat Nav and have an Aux in for my iPhone.
I'm comfortable and know how to get the old headunit out myself but if additional cabling is needed then it starts to get complicated. Is there anywhere that will fit these for a decent price and do a good job? Also, is Ebay the best way to go for purchasing the headunit? I know VW will fit them for £2000 but that seems a bit steep.
Cheers.
