Can I track my GTD

Hi mate,

I'd be interested to know if your car has left Emden yet as my car is there now. My dealer seems v optimistic that it would arrive with them within a week. I think he's a bit too optimistic.... but it's obviously happened before for him to say it?

My GTD is also waiting for a Boat.... 

The dealer said he will ring me again on Thursday with some more news.  He said they never know if it will make it on the Boat.  Sometimes they fit a few more on, sometimes they dont.  Does not sound very German to me....

Hi Scott, I emailed Marc(my dealer) this morning to find out where my car is and I've been waiting for a reply all day, just as I was phoning customer services my wife decides to say..."oh yeah Marc phoned this morning when you were in the shower" So course I ad a little go at the misses for forgetting to tell me sooner Grrrrrrr!

Anyway my car is still at Emden and is being shipped in the next couple of days, the car shud be at the dealers in the next 7 days or so....customer services told me this and he knew a lot more than the women I spoke to last week so I'm a lot happier now, sounds like mine, urs and Cliff's will be delivered to there respective dealers around the same time, so looks good for beginning of march chaps...

Of course lol, still waiting at Emden. CS gave me BS about 2 weeks at Emden, 1 week at Grimsby etc, so I had a moan and a rant and they said they'd expect very worst case, 3 weeks to the dealer, best case 1 week, normally 1-2 weeks.

We'll see matey! If nothing's happened by Monday there will be lots of moaning done by yours truly too. My car is going on 25th Feb so it NEEDS to be here by March 1st. It's been built since last week so there's NO excuse for them to not have it over here by then. I'll give them the benefit on the doubt for now though lol

Keep us informed mate, I've been without a car since I first put the GTD order in(Oct) I've been having to get lifts from my bro and of course the wife in her aygo...so I've been slumming it since then

OMG that's awful! lol. Dealer should call tomorrow. I might be best to PM from now on to avoid pi**ing people off spamming the forum about our cars!

Mr GTD, I'm pretty certain you're entitled to a free loan car courtesy of VW if you've not got your car within 16 weeks after ordering it. Assuming VW still do this and assuming you ordered any time from around 20th / 21st Oct or before, you should be eligible.

I'd check this out with your dealer; at least you'd be mobile while you're waiting for your car.
