Rear callipers sometimes stick and sound a bit like a bearing.
As said bearings should be done up by hand until 99% of play is removed, they wont last long if too tight

castellated tyres give the same noise symptoms as a wheel bearing, you checked your tyres?

THIS ^^^^also ,run your hand around the tread feeling for high and low spots, normally caused by worn shockers.

ye changed the wheels over at the same time as doing the bearings, makes noise with either set on

dont want to sound patronising but did you replace the ring/shell aswell as the bearing? (everything in the kit)

there could be a slim chance that both sets of tyres are castellated? especially if they have been used on the vehicle before? have you actually checked the tread yourself?

I thought that too Retro.

I normally do rear disc at the same time because bearings shells are hard to get out and in.

I had to press mine in. Maybe yours ain't fully pressed in. In at a slight angle maybe.
