Agree with first part, second part is rubbish.

If it's a single-breasted suit the jacket buttons should not be done up, unless you're some sort of a complete plonker.

Suit etiquette psychology.  It's like not wearing a red tie to an interview too.  It's all a power thing.

Dont spend too long on it, or you will stress yourself out.

Stay calm, they are not trying to catch you out. Dont inturupt them, only answer questions they have asked about, dont waffle, get some questions ready.

If they ask about your interests, keep them brief, they dont want to know you spend hours on car forums and what you talk about 

No interview is the same, if they are uptight then stay serious, if they are more laid back then being similar is fine, if they are jokey then laugh with them etc etc

Have a list of 4-5 questions you want to ask them about the job prepared for the end of the interview.  This is as much you interviewing them as it is them interviewing you. 

This would be my top recommendation. I know it's all the end of the world out there etc and everyone should be thankful for a job and all that junk but it's important to test that this is the right job. Don't necessarily wait until the end and then ask lots of questions, put them in as you go if it fits well with what is being discussed.

Also, 'mesen' isn't a real word so maybe best not to use that in the interview.

I have interviewed a few people in my time... although mostly crappy manual jobs that I didnt want to do myself, the most appealing trait in a person interviewed is willingness to listen, learn and enthusiasm.

I find that these 3 traits will get you a long way. The last thing I want to hear is that someone can do the job when I havent even clearly told them what the job consists of.

All questions about the job would show me you have most of these points covered. hth

Firm handshake and eye contact.
Only one thing worse than a shy wet palm and no eye contact from a candidate, and that is if it comes from the interviewer.

On a more serious note, the best thing you can do is stay calm, be yourself and come across as confident but not arrogant. Where is the job? PM me if you don't want to share publicly

If they ask why did you apply for the job, remind them you applied for a different job and ask them why they put you forward for this job instead - this could be a good question to ask them
