Snow tyres are excellent and do help. Well happy with the Bridgestones on our one. Cheaper than fixing damaged suspension.

smug for one day's use out of 365? its a sunday so its not even like you saved a day's wages

depends if you work weekends... which I do. The cost of some second hand winter tyres was cheaper than buying all weather/summer ones

Same, my snow tyres cost marginally more than a single mid-range all seasons one would have been!

i had a spare set of alloys so stuck winter tyres on them which should last a good few years, only started to snow yesterday, was too hungover to get out of bed yesterday so the car didnt move, today ill proberbly have a lazy day, and i hope the snows gone by tomoro cause theres already majour road works on the A road i go down meaning that instead of half a hour trip to work its been about 50-60 mins, and with the snow i can easily see it being 1.5 -2 hours :(
