i get the vower club card points. takes ages to get enough points to actually get anything though!

i use telco momentum also if were passing and I'm in need of a fill up as its usually slightly cheaper and telco often have 5p off a litre when you spend in store which is a great deal

i never find my car runs differently on ultimate/vpower/momentum

i have only ever put 95 in once though as i was desperate for fuel (only put £5 to get me to the shell garage )

my clio was very picky on fuel - would run bad on total 97 and normal 95 but on telco 99 and vower it was much better.

I used to do the Shell Drivers club point but it has to be one of the worst Loyalty schemes I've ever seen. I don't think you can beat Nectar or Tesco especially combined with their credit cards too.

I think Tesco it will be. I've got a Shell V-Power club card but that can go in the bin now. I've just ordered some new club cards. I had a word with the lady at Tesco and she said they've never ran out of Momentum and said they have 2 tanks for Momentum, one has 11,000 litres and the other has 9,000 litres. That's not a lot compared with their other "main" tanks - but plenty for a premium fuel which isn't used as much. Sounds good to me !

I'm sure I got  a leaflet through about a Tesco credit card recently, that gave extra points over and above a clubcard

or was it another card

I've been using Tesco Momentum 99 for over two years now, it's my preferred choice of super unleaded and the benefits are: cheapest super on the market; improved economy; and the more you spend at Tesco the more rewards you'll get with them, eg vouchers to pay for fuel, clubcard points etc.

Personally, I don't see much difference between V-Power, Ultimate and Momentum 99. But I do want to try Sainsburys Super and was wondering if it's the same stuff as BP's Ultimate cos of the Nectar card connection; the Sainsburys garage near me was charging 1.32p/litre for its Super but that was the price six weeks ago! Likely to have gone up.

Pretty sure Sainsburys is the cheapest Super on the market (which is why it's the one I use ). It's only ever about 2 or 3p more than the standard unleaded so great value and ofter cheaper than standard unleaded is in other petrol stations. That said it's only 97 ron not 98/99. But I see it as a good compromise in these hard-up times!

Tesco Momentum certainly gives a boost, as does Total Excellium. V-Power is also has a noticable improvement to performance but costs a fortune. So value for money I'd go with Tesco. BP Ultimate just doesn't do it for my GTI.
