Windsor is a good area to stay and only a mainline ride in to either Paddington or Waterloo, cost for that ride is about £15 return plus Oyster Card when your up town but tbh everything is walking distance apart from Docklands (Canary Whaft) but thats not really that great.

Its about 10 quid for a day travel card, the most you will pay (zones 1-8) would be about 15 quid. Though you wont need zone 8 (watford is in it)

Croydon, its awesome, we have a Reflex.

That is all.

I could be here all day naming awesome places to go and see in London . . .

East Croydon has a train every hour to and from Victoria, the town itself is less than desirable but some nice hotels close by.

Trains to London Bridge and Victoria leave pretty much every 10 minutes from East Croydon. I wouldnt suggest anyone stay here though, get a travelodge or somewhere up town. If your going to have a nice weekend with the Mrs, dont for the love of god bring her to stay in Croydon.

Good old Croydon.... A few years back I used to go to Pals in Croydon a fair bit. Had some great nights in there believe or not.

I love London. My favourite places to go are Shoreditch, Brick Lane, Covent Garden, Spitalfields market, White hart Lane :lipsrsealed: Westminster has about a million tourist attractions within a few miles of each other, and can kill a whole day (Big Ben, houses of Parliament, London Eye, Downing Street all within walking distance).

Last time I stayed in a hotel we stayed near The Isle of Dogs, near Canary Wharf. There were some good hotels and The DLR goes straight to Bank, which is a main underground interchange.

What type of thing are you looking to do?
The day you see me in a diesel is the day there is no more petrol left :D

I said near Croydon, I could not live with it if someone stayed in Croydon on my recommendation
Just noticed that, every hour! This morning there were 3 victoria trains within 5 minutes!

You are quite right I meant getting back at some ungodly hour
The coast trains run up till about 1am, Gatwick trains run even later....

I have a lot of customers who want to go sight seeing so we base them near by to Croydon or Wimbledon.

Croydon is a sh!t hole simply because of how easy it is to get around from there, you need to be able to get your crack from Dalston 24hrs a day
