As Junior said.  You don't even need to swap the front panel, although it seems a lot of front ends are sold with them.

My fiancée actually put my Vento front on while I was making a brew.   She's good with cars so I better not say "its that easy" as if she reads it Ill get battered

My grille is just an early Vento grille fella, its not an aftermarket one.  They can be quite hard to get hold of and invariably there is some scene tax applied when they do come up for sale.

Already answered that one for you....  Early Grille.

A quick scan of ebay has revealed no early grilles for sale, but there is a facelift/phase 2 grille shell for £20.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-VENTO-EARLY-92-95-HEADLAMP-GRILLE-1H5853653V7D-NEW-RARE-/250973307519?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a6f2cc27f#ht_2203wt_952

Missing the bottom metal strip, but the seller says he is selling that separately. I sold the same grille without flash for £25 so I reckon the money is spot on.

If you were to buy it, and got stuck for a metal strip, at a push I have a spare, but I was intending to hold onto it and get it painted up the same colour as my car...

That is about right...as they are obsolete from the main dealers now, and very sought after for those running vento fronts.

I got offered £120 for mine in the first week of owning it.  I turned it down - why would I sell it!

Well that sucks! Not sure weather i'd just keep the later grille on or buy an aftermarket debadged one, badged looks soooooo much better tho! So just to comfirm, bonnet,  headlights and grille is all i need? Cheers guys
