Guilty pleasure....
« on: 31 January 2012, 18:12 »
Right, i don't care what any of you say, we all have driven something and been blown away by how good it was, even though you'd hate to admit it!

for me the 3.0 supra Non turbo, heavy, ugly, slow, boring, driven by ponces and nearly always auto! how sporty! Drove it and ABSOLUTLEY LOVED  IT!

My next was such a shock even to me that i actually bought one! its a old mans rover, started out life as a honda civic 5 door until shared with rover to make the ever exhilarating rover 400 then 45. until someone (a genius) turned it into an MG. The ZS 180 is sooooo much fun its worth the slating i get so very often!

So be honest, come out of the closet and admit that you love the new micra or whatever takes your fancy! cos your a sicko and a freak like me!

Engines are good and they drive surprisingly well. Just the looks don't do it for me, looks like its been ram raided into the ripspeed section of halfords. Interior is a bit grandadish. Not slating it like as we all have different tastes and you will have a lot of fun in it.

Sarcasm is not your forte then! I'm not sad enough to preach the merits of a rover 400!

Sick in the head? why thankyou sir!

yeh it took me a while to decide on the looks but the 17 year old boy racer in me just couldn't hate it! the thing that i really love is near zero understeer! love it.

Anyway off topic.

Im a fan of MGR's mate! Currently driving an MG ZR and get stick for it all the time. The truth, however is that it is far more focussed and a better handler than most, if not all of the golfs Ive owned.

Yes, the HG failed, it cost less to have uprated and fixed than it cost to change a cambelt on my mk4 golf.

My car proudly displays a Union flag on its rear quarter next to a chequered flag. Its a shame you dont get that any more.

Never been a fan at all. But I seem to see people saying how good they are all over forums now.
And they're dirt cheap.
I'm tempted as I want something that handles.... which my Golf does not.

The new Hyundai i20. Drove one on holiday and absolutely loved it.

Then had an i30 as a courtesy car once back home and hated it.

If by guilty pleasure you mean something I'd love to have but wouldn't buy in reality, then a CLK Black, or the new C63 AMG Black.
