is my ARB standard?
« on: 30 January 2012, 13:12 »
i was always under the impression that the standard ARB goes over the top of the driveshaft, therefore when lowered the driveshaft rubs on the ARB.

however in a pm i have been told that the whiteline arb goes over the driveshaft not under it like the standard one, the arb i have on at the moment goes over the top of the driveshaft

does that mean that i already have an aftermarket ARB or has the person i was talking to got it the wrong way around?

You can get some aftermarket ones that go over with slightly bigger hoops, but still end up catching in the end. Under is best.

basically i thought the standard ARB goes over the driveshaft (which i have now been told by a few people it does)

however when i was talking to someone off here the other week they said that the whiteline ARB goes over the driveshaft and the standard one goes under it.

so i just wanted to check who was right.

That person needs to be named and shamed.....
