glad this has cropped up i will be fitting my boost and volt gauge this week as feeling a lot better now, ive found the link for fitting boost gauge on here which is good, but im looking for a very simple place to tap into for 12v from the ignition as my gauges are both smoked and light up when car is running, so i need a simple place to pick up 12v if anyone can help if not i was just going to run a wire from radio as that must be the easy route i can fit radios and amps and do little jobs but im no auto electrition any help guys would be appreciated and pics of where would be even better heres what im fitting gauge holder is very nice and perfect fit but £32 for a bit of plastic so it should, its cost me over £100 for all the stuff to fit but should look the dogs when installed, heres my pod and gauges.

where did you get the double gauge pod from big-stevie

i got it from ebay here you go made for golf fits pillar trim perfect no problems, probably could buy a universal one and play with it but i dont have time anymore and was impressed with the fit and is very strong.

whatever floats your boat i suppose the black plastic goes with the dash and makes it quite stand out which i like and should still look quite o.e.m just spent around £115 and want it to look nice,  and the fit is very good hence why i didnt buy a universal one and have gaps i did think about it as you can get universal ones for very very cheap money   ( £8 ) but are very soft feeble plastic this one is very strong indeed i put gauges in it to try and fitted nice and tight without using fixings but was £32 as thay say you get what you pay for i suppose, will look very nice once fitted going to start this week.

oh anyone got any ideas for 12v supply for the volt meter and boost gauge that i can use need an easy one to use as im no auto electrition.

get some pics up stevie wen u start  all ive found mate is that most take the display illumination feed from the instrument/clocks dimmer switch so that when u dim the lights the gauges also follow suit plus its right where the gauges are goin aswell but to be honest you can splice into the switch live of the stereo or any other switch live but then they would be illuminated all the time then and not sure how long the back light on those babies will last :-/

I don't have a volt meter but you can take a feed from the fuse box all ok, lighting wise I spliced mine into the light switch, just get a test lamp and find the one that becomes live when you switch the lights on, the dimmer feed is a very small wire so was not sure with adding extra load so did not use it.

Earth wise mine had a common earth point by the steering column so I used that.
