XDS Setting

it makes its turn a lot shaper and hold a tighter line in the gas but if its slippery you do get a bit more wheel hop/axle tramp whatever you want to call it

i would say in the dry or wet its much better but when its cold and slippery its better on 0.

So you just changed your XDS to 2 and nothing else? Gonna give it a try and see if I notice a difference.

What about 1, might be a good all round compromise?

no 1 is weak, 0 is normal and 2 is strong

its stupid the way they have it set out but 1 is actually weaker than 0 strangely

i have mine set to 2 and its very good. it makes the car a lot more responsive and better in and out of tight corners. ilk i said though if its very slippery i preferred 0 setting as it broke away/ASR came in more progressively

i didn't alter the brake assist. i find when your pushing on and the brakes are warm they're fine on factory setting but agree around the doors, under slow driving the pedal does have a bit of travel but i suppose it depends on how you use the car. for me the brakes in standard assist setting are good.

Changed mine too......works on the Polo GTI too.

I want to try setting 2 on the brake assist as I'm not impressed at all with pedal feel. Don't know if it would be over sensitive but I find the pedal has too much travel

Vagcom setting? Will it work on the R? And do you want to change mine hurdy

don't think the golf R has got the XDS but the scirocco R has, which is already in setting 2

you can change the brake assist though i would have thought

You can definitley notice the difference! Am delighted with the vagcom tweak :-)
