where your gaining with stage 2 is because of the down pipe and decat/sport cat.

the map is no different in terms of fuelling, just stops the warning light as i said earlier.

i was thinking about going stage 2 when i bought my milltek and jkm and superchips told me to save my money and keep the stage 1 map if i didn't mind a warning light every now and again as they're more or less the same

I'm not disputing that stage 2 is quicker, just pointing out that it's a marginal increase for a lot of expenditure.

And I've been up against stage 2's. There really isn't that much in it to be honest. That's why I decided to never go for it.

Thank you for all your comments, interesting view points.

The Stage 2 upgrade would include the following -

Forge Intercooler
ATP downpipe
Forge Blow Off Valve
Quaife Diff (they are quoting 1700 GBP to purchase and fit the Quaife - ??)

can't get a BOV for the 2.0 TSI yet and you won't gain anything from it anyway.

stage 2 is pretty much a turbo back exhaust, map and filter (panel filter or new intake)

the intercooler would be a nice addition too

My guess is he is referring to the Spacer Valve  :undecided: If so then it's a sound only gimmick and does nothing to increase the performance or protect your engine. I had one for a bit but decided in the end that it didn't suite the character of the car and sold it on. Was a doddle to fit though
