Rear Gearbox Mounting Bush / Dogbone

Had the car in today for a few jobs and was advised that the rear gearbox mounting bush has split and collapsed.

I was not expecting that to be an issue as had replaced the dogbone mount only 18 months ago (if that) with a brand new ECS tuning ultimate part using new stretch bolts as well. 

Have only done a maximum of 10,000 miles with the mount on and very rarely thrash the car, surely an uprated bush should last longer?

Ordered an OEM replacement for the mean time and will at some point be changing bushes probably to SuperPro.

Anybody else had an issue specifically with ECS bushes?

Should have lasted longer I think, I have the powerflex on in mine, did look at the R32 but around 5 times the price of the poly one so to me it was a no brainer.

I had the R32 dogbone in mine and covered approx 30,000 miles; there was no sign of it giving up

How harsh are the powerflex after bedding in?

I would be half tempted to go for the R32 mount, can the bushes be bought separately?

I have the same problem is it the round bush that's gone??? I got my car out the garage today to be told that's ripped :@ I want to know if I can replace that bush or is it the full dogbone again :@

on ebay you can buy bushes sepaerate you dont need buy complete unit

Get uprated poly bushes and learn to live with the vibs. Much greater satisfaction when changing gear.  :wink:

That's was my reason for taking the standered one off and putting this one on in its place ha ha this is poly bushed well the two big ones are but the small round one is just rubber and its that one that's ripped I phoned the company I get it from and there telling me that its a full new dogbone because the round bush comes with the bar for the short and long bolt and it can't be replaced are they right or wrong to tell me this
