Wouldnt bother....They slow...would much rather have a k03 golf!

My 225bhp mapped k03s pushed a turbo one along pretty damn easy

Until the MAF or N75 Valve or Boost/Vacuum Leaks or PCV system or Coil Packs cause it to break

Apart from a time of where the car at shafts.  ive never had any issues with mine.  New MAF, N75 valve and blanked PCV system and not one issue.  I think I had 1 boost pipe blow off and thats it.

Remember, parts on golfs are aging now, so ideally they need replacing....not many people spend the money getting things perfect and safe for another good few years!

Especially when the entire vacuum system can easily be replaced diy style for under £35, plus its the AUM's that seem to be the continuous lemons in reliability, my AGU just keeps going from strength to strength even though it keep raping it from cold etc... Just keep it well serviced and it stays happy, but for the age of the car I've not had much wrong with it.

Its one thing I havent come across yet.....a stock CTR.  A turbo one yes and pushed it along.   Zafira VXR was a doddle aswell.  Big turbo stripped out C20let engine'd nova without a full remap on got its bottom handed aswell.  Although I did get done by a old V8 merc AMG thingy on a L reg or summit on the top end, neck and neck midrange.
Wish it was still going to give mates uprated supercharged G60 mk1 a little run along the road
